Where to Find Care

The Weight & Wellness Program at Maine Medical Center provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to evaluating and providing surgical solutions to patients seeking weight loss surgery. The program is an accredited bariatric center, meaning it has achieved the highest level of standards for care and treatment of patients. The Portland-based program is a cooperative effort between Maine Medical Center and Casco Bay Surgery, which is now part of Maine Medical Partners.

At Southern Maine Health Care, an expert team of providers offers laparoscopic weight-loss surgery that is less invasive than open surgery and has a speedier recovery time. The Weight Loss Surgery & Weight Management program at Southern Maine Health Care is accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, which means that it achieves the highest standards for patient care and treatment. For 35 years, the program has provided highly skilled, personalized care that focuses on the individual as a whole person.
