David A Grubb
After growing up in southern Indiana, I went to college and medical school nearby at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. During my education, I fell in love with the field of general surgery. I was then fortunate to train at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my surgical residency. It was there that I developed an interest in robotics and bariatric surgery after seeing the impact they had on my patients’ satisfaction and quality of life. To pursue this, I chose to further my training by completing a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania in minimally invasive general and bariatric surgery. I now enjoy applying the principles of laparoscopy and robotics to improve the quality of care I can give to my patients. I value their trust, and I feel extremely lucky to be able to live and practice in the beautiful state of Maine and to help the kind people who call it home!
