Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Program

Maine Medical Partners Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is the most comprehensive program in the state for evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders.

What is a pelvic floor?

Your pelvic floor includes the muscles, ligaments and connective tissue in the lower pelvis that provide support to your body and help your organs function properly. Weakness or nerve dysfunction in the pelvic floor can affect your bladder, uterus, vagina and/or rectum.

Two specialty practices in one office location

Our team of board-certified specialists includes urogynecologists, a vulvovaginal specialist and highly-experienced nurse practitioners. Working together, we use a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering expert, team-based care. The urogynecology team treats people with pelvic floor support disorders. Our vulvovaginal specialist treats people with complex vulvovaginal disorders.
