LSVT - Parkinson's Disease

LSVT-BIG:

LSVT BIG is a treatment specific for people with Parkinson's disease. Treatment is administered in 16 sessions over a single month, consisting of four 60-minute sessions per week.  It trains those with Parkinson’s disease to increase the amplitude/size of their movements (moving big).  LSVT BIG is proven to specifically improve trunk rotation and gait, leading to improvements in speed, balance, and quality of life.

LSVT-LOUD:

LSVT LOUD is a research proven effective treatment for individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurological conditions.  Similar to LSVT BIG, treatment is administered in 16 sessions over a single month (four individual 60 minute treatments per week).  Research supports improvements in vocal loudness, intonation, and voice quality by stimulating the muscles of the voice box (larynx) and speech mechanism through a systematic hierarchy of exercises.  Treatment does not train people for shouting or yelling; rather, improved, healthy vocal loudness with no strain, improving overall quality of life.
