Emergency Care

The LincolnHealth - Miles Campus Emergency Department

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and ready to treat your injury or illness with staff trained in Emergency Medicine, including  physicians, physician assistants, nurses and other clinical staff. The Miles Emergency Department has two critical care rooms and eight private patient rooms including rooms specially designed for orthopedic and OB/GYN care.

Wait times

We understand when you come to the Emergency Department you want to be seen right away.  But, unlike most other medical services, Emergency Departments do not see patients on a first-come first serve-basis. Before a patient is registered to be seen for emergency care, they are checked by a trained health care staff member to determine how serious the condition is. Patients with the most serious needs are always treated first. This could mean that patients with less serious conditions may have to wait longer to be seen.

Where to Go for Care

Health care continues to be busier than ever. If you need medical attention for non-life threatening respiratory symptoms, please contact your primary care provider.
