Pain Management

Your pain is unique to you, and there are safe, effective ways to treat that pain. Our pain management specialists are here to help. We will answer your questions about pain management and recommend procedures and treatments that can provide relief for your acute or chronic pain.

What is pain management?

Pain management means controlling your pain through treatment plans made with your provider. These plans can include the following options:

  • Psychological therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Exercise regimens
  • Acupuncture
  • Specific diet plans
  • Localized anesthetics
  • Over-the-counter pain relievers
  • Prescription drugs
  • Patient education and support

What is interventional pain management?

Interventional pain management is a proven approach to disrupting chronic or severe pain cycle. Doctors perform minimally invasive medical procedures that help stop the transmission of pain signals between your nervous system and your brain.

What is physical medicine?

Physical medicine is the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease and disability using hands-on treatments such as spinal manipulation or massage, sometimes with the assistance of medical devices or the application of heat, cold, electricity, radiation, or water.

Customized pain management care plans

Patients who experience acute or chronic pain usually require medical evaluation, management and treatment. Often, management for chronic pain requires a combination of treatment methods. We'll work with you to develop a pain management plan that best meets your unique needs and lifestyle preferences.
