We offer individualized aquatic physical therapy from specially-trained licensed therapists. Water lessens the pressure on muscles and joints, providing an opportunity to exercise for people who are limited in their function on land. It is especially helpful with patients who suffer from orthopedic injury, lower back pain, weight-bearing limitations, balance dysfunctions, stroke or are involved in post-surgical recovery.

Appointments may be made by calling 207-338-4666 or 207-338-9316. A doctor’s referral is required.

What is involved in urinary I=incontinence retraining? Exercises and EMG Biofeedback treatments are used to help patients utilize the pelvic floor muscle and avoid substituting with abdominal and gluteal muscles. EMG helps differentiate between patients with weak or lax pelvic floor muscles who need strengthening and patients with tense or tight muscles that may need a relaxation-based program.

We provides customized therapeutic exercise programs and valuable instruction on how to maintain physical and psychological wellness. Aquatic therapy services are also available for those unable to begin an exercise program on land. For more information on this program, contact Donna at 207-338-9316. A physician’s referral is needed prior to treatment.
