There are many ways to make a gift, and many reasons to give. If you or your loved one received special care at Mid Coast Hospital, Mid Coast Senior Health Center or CHANS Home Health & Hospice, please consider a donation to help support our mission of providing the best health care to our community. Your support will help offset the rising costs of health care, allow for ongoing education and training of our care team, and increase access to medical care for all.

Your Gift is Important
Every dollar contributed to Mid Coast–Parkview Health helps us provide our care team with the most advanced medical technologies, training and resources they need to serve you throughout the year. We count on the generosity of friends like you to make a real difference in our mission to provide modern, compassionate, value-driven health care to our communities. Charitable donations to Mid Coast Hospital have helped us to provide many new services and advanced technologies, including:
- Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory - previously available only in Portland, Boston or beyond
- Paramedic Emergency Vehicle - providing life-saving emergency services beyond our walls to the people of the communities we serve
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsy - less invasive and less painful procedure for the diagnosis of breast cancer
- Women's Health Center - comprehensive services for women in a warm, inviting and comfortable setting
- Digestive Health Center - one convenient location for a variety of digestive health services and care
These are only a few samples of how gifts from people like you—people who truly care about the health and wellness of their family, friends and neighbors—help us offer the finest possible health care services. On behalf of the entire team at Mid Coast–Parkview Health, thank you!
Ways to Give
You may wish to pay tribute to a friend or loved one by making a gift in their honor or memory. Tribute gifts are given or to celebrate the birth of a baby, birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. This thoughtful method of giving is brought to the attention of the individual you have honored, or their family.
Memorial Gifts may be given in memory of a friend or loved one in lieu of flowers. A letter will be sent to the family indicating your kind and thoughtful remembrance.
You may also choose to express appreciation for the special care that you or a loved one received from a Mid Coast Hospital care team member. Gifts are gratefully received and may be made for the unrestricted use of the hospital in honor of individual members of our caring, compassionate and professional team. Learn more about care team recognition.
Donors also enjoy the tax benefits of giving gifts of appreciated securities, including stocks, mutual fund shares and gifts of closely held stock. We would also be happy to speak with you about making a gift of real estate, tangible personal property, retirement plan assets or life insurance.
You may also wish to help secure our legacy of care for the future by making a planned gift to Mid Coast Hospital. Whether you include Mid Coast Hospital in your estate plan, establish an Endowment Fund, or create a Charitable Gift Annuity that will produce income during your lifetime, making a planned gift to Mid Coast Hospital benefits both the donor and the future of health care for our community.
Should you desire to make a planned gift to Mid Coast Hospital, you will become a member of our esteemed Heritage Circle Giving Society. Heritage Circle Members enjoy special lectures and events on current issues in health care presented by physician leaders. A plaque will be installed in the hospital lobby in your honor.
A Named Endowment Fund may be established with an initial gift of $1,000 or more. The endowment can be named for you, your family, or a loved one. A plaque will be installed in the hospital lobby with your Endowment Fund’s name. Endowment gifts live on in perpetuity--only the interest is used, were needed most.
