Pharmacy

The pharmacy team at Waldo County General Hospital utilizes state of the art electronic technology in both the inpatient and outpatient setting to promote excellence in patient management and progressive medication therapy. Our pharmacy team supports all clinical teams at all WCGH facilities.

WCGH pharmacy is not a registered retail pharmacy, however we have formed a contractual agreement with Maine Medical Center pharmacy to help provide specialty pharmaceuticals to our patients. By presenting these prescriptions at the MMC pharmacy, the patient can remain within the Maine Health network and thus maintain the continuity of care that is vital to improving patient outcomes. In addition, WCGH patients are welcome to bring their non-specialty prescriptions to the Pen Bay Medical Center outpatient pharmacy in Rockport, where they are eligible for a 20% off co-pays if they carry WCGH health insurance.
