Crisis and Emergency Services

Maine Behavioral Healthcare is pleased to offer Crisis Response Services where they are needed most for individuals in need of immediate behavioral health attention. Through partnerships with local hospitals and access to a full continuum of service offerings we are able to serve as a critical first contact during a mental health crisis.

We've been there.

Our peer support network connects you with people who have experienced the challenge of maintaining mental health and/or are in recovery from substance use. They understand what you're going through, and can help you on the road to recovery.

Our compassionate Crisis Response Workers are available at hospitals throughout the MaineHealth system to provide crisis assessments upon admission. Crisis Response Workers are specially trained in crisis intervention and make every effort to help resolve any crisis situation in a timely manner.

Set on 50 private acres, Spring Harbor Hospital, a division of Maine Behavioral Healthcare, is Southern Maine's only private psychiatric treatment and recovery center. Our inpatient programs for youth and adults provide hope for those who suffer from a variety of mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance use).

We are fortunate to have a unique collaboration with Maine Medical Center and MaineHealth. This allows us to offer the most complete array of psychiatric treatment, physician-training, and medical-research programs North of Boston.

You or your family member will need a referral from a psychiatrist, a therapist or a crisis team before coming to Spring Harbor Hospital.
