Paramedic Alliance for Community Emergencies (PACE) Paramedic Service
The Paramedic Alliance for Community Emergencies, or PACE Paramedic Service, is a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital and is the only paramedic-licensed service in Oxford County. We maintain 24 hours per day, 7 days per week coverage, offering a minimum of two paramedics and two emergency medical technicians (EMTs). PACE Paramedic Service has community programs like Vial of Life program which allows for quick access to medical information in case of emergency.
What are Paramedics?
Paramedics are healthcare professionals who render advanced care on the scene of an emergency and in transit from an emergency scene to the hospital. Emergency medical technicians, or EMTs, are very capable of assisting paramedics as they utilize defibrillators, pacemakers and IV lines to stabilize emergency patients.
PACE Promptly Responds to Emergencies
PACE averages a three-minute response time from the moment a 911 call is received until the ambulance leaves the PACE garage. We respond to an average of 3,000 calls per year, with a paramedic dispatched on every emergency call. We also provide paramedic assistance to other local ambulance services. PACE Paramedic Service assures that your emergency will always be treated with competence and expedient care.
