Our mission is to provide a seamless and compassionate continuum of care through a community of providers collaborating to promote recovery and the overall mental and physical well-being of those we are privileged to serve.

In October 2001, Spring Harbor became the freestanding, nonprofit mental health hospital of MaineHealth, the integrated healthcare delivery system for southern, central, and western Maine.

Today, Spring Harbor plays both a regional and local role in mental health care in Maine. As a division of Maine Behavioral Healthcare, Spring Harbor is clinically integrated with mental health providers, hospitals and primary care sites to ensure easy and timely access to treatment and safe and effective transitions between services for individuals throughout Maine. On a local level, Spring Harbor fulfills its mission as southern Maine's comprehensive provider of inpatient services for individuals experiencing mental illness and dual disorders concerns.
