Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship
The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Maine Medical Center (MMC) is a three-year program that provides comprehensive training across the spectrum of cardiovascular disease. Our program began in the 1950s and remains the only cardiovascular medicine fellowship program in the state. As the largest referral center in Northern New England, our clinical volume and case complexity ensure a robust training environment. Our fellows have gone on to positions of their choice throughout the country. Our program and institution emphasize the importance of patient centered care, a healthy learning environment, faculty mentorship, and scholarly activity. The aims of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Maine Medical Center are to:
- Train outstanding clinical cardiologists prepared to practice in various settings (academic practice, community based practice).
- Provide meaningful scholarly experiences (clinical and population research, translational research, quality improvement, education, leadership).
