Community Health Needs Assessment

MaineHealth’s mission of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America includes a commitment to health equity and improving health outcomes for all patients, families, care teams and community members. We partner with community based organizations, schools, businesses and government agencies to understand and address factors impacting the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Every three years, non-profit hospitals are required to conduct a community health needs assessment (CHNA) and develop strategies to address these needs through a community health implementation plan (CHIP). In Maine, this process is done collaboratively with Northern Light Health, Central Maine Healthcare, MaineGeneral Health, MaineHealth and Maine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Strategic Plan

Maine Behavioral Healthcare is part of the MaineHealth integrated health system. We work together toward common goals established by a shared strategic plan.
