Pediatric Behavioral Health Care | MaineHealth Behavioral Health

What is pediatric behavioral health care?

Behavioral health is a key part of a child’s overall health that can affect how they grow, learn and develop. Many symptoms that appear to be mental health issues may just be a normal part of a child’s development. But it is important to recognize and treat mental illnesses in children early on, when appropriate.

MaineHealth pediatric behavioral health providers offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for behavioral problems in children and teens. Services are offered throughout the MaineHealth system, including at many of our primary care practices. Talk to your primary care provider if you are concerned about your child's behavioral health.
