Healthy Generations: Addiction Services for pregnant women and mothers of young children
Pregnant women and mothers with at least one child five years old or younger who have been affected by substance abuse—their own or someone else’s—and who wish to explore the impact of that abuse on their current lives and parenting practices, can take part in the FREE Healthy Generations program. This home-based educational program is dedicated to giving women the tools to live a positive, healthy lifestyle in which to raise their young children.
We recognize the importance of confidentiality and trust. From the very first time you contact the ARC, all personal information is protected by our strict privacy policy bound by a set of federal laws (42 CFR Part 2 Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records). These laws, as well as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Privacy Act (HIPAA) of 2003, are cornerstones of providing quality services for those struggling with problems related to substance abuse. We will provide detailed information about our privacy policy and are happy to discuss our policy with you directly, to ensure that you fully understand your rights.
Thanks to support from the Maine Office of Substance Abuse, we are able to offer a "sliding scale" payment option based on a person's income and need.
