We appreciate your interest in supporting the children at MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (MHBBCH). We are grateful for toy donations and other goods as they help us to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and families. These donations help us provide therapeutic activities and programming during the holidays and throughout the year.
Send a donation directly to MHBBCH via Amazon
Items on our Amazon Gift Registry are safe, pre-approved, and can be quickly put to use with patients. Select our Amazon Gift Registry address to ship your gifts directly to MHBBCH.
In-person toy donation guidelines
Due to the complex health care needs of our patients, we can no longer accept large, general toy drive donations. Please use our Amazon Gift Registry to ship gifts directly to MHBBCH.
We accept small donations of approved items
We understand that some groups enjoy being able to meet MHBBCH hospital staff and present donations in person. Please contact us at 207-662-2424 or childlife@mainehealth.org to schedule your in-person donation drop-off in advance.
More ways to give:
We appreciate the support of individuals and groups who want to make larger donations or hold toy drives on our behalf. While we cannot accept large deliveries in-person, we kindly suggest:
- Purchasing items from the Amazon Gift Registry and shipping most directly to MHBBCH, but saving a few items to deliver in-person.
- Purchasing a few items from the Amazon Gift Registry, and then collecting or making a monetary gift that can be used to meet the most urgent needs of our patients. We even have a “big fake check” available for photos with donors and MHBBCH staff.
- Use our easy plan your own fundraiser tool to create a custom MHBBCH fundraising campaign page with your group's own text and photos.
- Our philanthropy team is available to meet in-person and symbolically accept your “big fake check” donation.
If you are interested in making a donation or need tips or ideas, please contact us at 207-662-2424 or childlife@mainehealth.org.
