Volunteers serve in many different areas of our health care system. Assignments are given based on system needs and how well a person fits the task. Patient care and safety are our top priorities. Volunteers receive comprehensive training with a focus on safety, health, confidentiality and system policies.

MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital welcomes volunteers in Damariscotta and Boothbay. Our wonderful volunteers do important work in interesting areas such as patient support, office support and public relations.
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center volunteers play an important role on the MaineHealth Portland and Biddeford campuses - providing valuable support to patients, visitors and care team members. On our Portland campus, we welcome volunteers 14 years of age and older. On our Biddeford campus, we welcome volunteers 18 years of age and older.
At MaineHealth Memorial Hospital, volunteer opportunities are available in the Gift Shop and at MaineHealth Long Term Care Merriman House. Volunteers contribute their valuable time and skills while having fun and making new friends. Join us!

MaineHealth CHANS Home Health & Hospice volunteers play a vital role in the care and support of terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers make a significant contribution by providing companionship to patients, and respite to their caregivers, at private homes and nursing facilities in the greater mid coast area.
