The Three Pillars of our Nationally-Recognized Care Model

At every level of care, we use a team of professionals operating under one roof to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes for each patient. Using a single electronic health record, we manage patient care across all settings:

  • Specialized, inpatient hospital care
  • Partial hospital program
  • Intensive day treatment programs
  • Outpatient clinics

Our innovative clinical research program taps into the expertise of our faculty and patient population to turn our clinical programs into learning spaces that generate new knowledge. This approach helps us ask better questions about the work we do and better serve our patients through a deeper understanding of autism and other developmental disorders. Current projects focus on:

  • Features of severe autism
  • Sleep disorders and circadian rhythm
  • Emotion regulation
  • Using wearable devices to measure arousal and predict challenging behaviors before they happen.

We are committed to developing the next generation of specialized care providers for people with autism and developmental disorders. We train professionals in social work, occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis, special education, clinical research and psychiatry.
