Clinical Settings

Let’s Go! is an obesity prevention initiative in Maine and Mt. Washington Valley, New Hampshire. Our multi-setting model allows us to reach early care and education programs, schools, school nutrition programs, out-of-school programs, and health care practices and unite them in the goal of encouraging families to adopt healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

Adults

Time is the biggest barrier for adults when it comes to healthy eating and active living. To combat lack of time, we developed positive messaging focused on quick wins, and thus the Small Steps program promotes incremental behavior change, which ladders up to long-term health impact. Let’s Go! also has Small Steps materials to support healthy habits during pregnancy.

The 5-2-1-0 and Small Steps programs can be easily woven into a practice’s busy day. Let’s Go! will support the complete practice team by meeting with you, listening to the needs of the clinical staff to set you up for success. We provide everything you need to get started including a brief training for the entire staff.

As part of our evaluation and commitment to continuous improvement, we provide practices an opportunity to be recognized as a Let’s Go! Site of Distinction. This recognition highlights practices’ commitment to helping patients establish healthy habits and use of the Healthy Habits Questionnaire.

By partnering with Let’s Go! you’ll join a network of hundreds of practices just like yours, working to improve the health of your patients and their families. If you’re interested in bringing Let’s Go! to your practice and helping patients establish healthy habits, contact us. We provide training, clinical tools and resources as well as patient education materials.
