Why Maine Medical Center: The people in Portland and at MMC really hooked me with their vibrant and welcoming personalities. MMC provides a strong clinical experience while maintaining a wholesome culture that I truly feel will be best for my professional and personal growth. The beauty of Portland and the New England charm was an easy pick!

Interests/Hobbies: Fishing, snowboarding, hiking/camping, hanging out with friends, trying out new breweries

What you did you do before med school: I worked in a biotech lab in Windham, ME helping to create and distribute polyclonal antibodies for both industrial and research purposes. I also worked a number of jobs downtown ranging from valet, maintenance man, janitor, to breakfast server.
Favorite Maine activity: Fly-fishing, shucking oysters, saying "bub"
Medical interests: Interventional Oncology, anything minimally invasive that can help patients feel better with less time spent in the hospital
Why Maine Medical Center: It was an honor to rotate in Maine during medical school, and in that time it became clear to me that I desired staying in Maine and continuing to work with the excellent staff and population we have here. It is an honor to stay in my home state and continue to learn and grow in this journey.
Favorite restaurant in Portland: Wow, that's a really hard one - it's impossible to go wrong with Fore Street.

What you did you do before med school: Carpentry
Favorite Maine activity: Checking out local breweries, biking, or fly fishing
Medical interests: IR with focus in MSK interventions and everything radiology, plus health policy and administration
Why Maine Medical Center: The IR program is filled with individuals that I knew I would be able to get a great hands on education from starting as an intern. Portland has tons of outdoor activities while having great restaurants and breweries. Easiest choice I've made coming here for residency.
