Our physician and physician associate radiology faculty members belong to Spectrum Healthcare Partners (SHCP), Maine's largest statewide, multispecialty, physician owned and directed professional organization, which is comprised of more than 200 physicians practicing in anesthesiology, pain management, pathology, radiation oncology, radiology, and interventional radiology. SHCP contracts with healthcare facilities across Maine and northern New England to provide these services.
The radiology faculty consists of over 50 radiologists with subspecialty expertise including interventional radiology, abdominal radiology, breast radiology, cardiothoracic radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, nuclear radiology & molecular imaging, and pediatric radiology, as well as CT, MRI, radiography/fluoroscopy, and ultrasonography. All physician faculty members have academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA
Although nearly all of the radiology physician faculty members are fellowship-trained and primarily practice radiology within their areas of expertise, all practice general radiology as well. Furthermore, some of the radiology physicians are faculty at the MaineHealth Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation & Simulation.
Our faculty also includes five dedicated IR advanced practice providers and two diagnostic medical physicists.
