Babies with neurological issues need highly-specialized care. Maine Medical Center (MMC) offers the only neonatal neurology program in Northern New England, outside of Boston. Our multidisciplinary team of experts provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for:

  • Pregnant mothers with fetuses affected by neurological conditions
  • Newborns with neurological conditions who need acute inpatient care
  • Babies with neurological conditions who need inpatient or intensive care

We are regional and national leaders in the use of telemedicine to deliver those services to rural community hospitals in Maine and New Hampshire. We also participate in industry-funded clinical trials and investigator-initiated research to continually improve our neonatal neurology services.
