I knew that MMC would nurture my passion for caring for rural and underserved communities and give me broad exposure to the medical needs of the entire state. I rotated here in medical school and was struck by how supportive the hospital's culture is. As the major referral center of the entire state, I knew I would be exposed to a wide variety of pathology and acuity. Portland is also well-positioned to provide easy and abundant access to the outdoors!

I was drawn to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center's OBGYN residency program because of its balance of clinical rigor and supportive culture. As a native Mainer, I look forward to caring for patients from across the state with complex medical needs and varying levels of access to healthcare. Moreover, this program's genuine warmth and "family feel" made it an ideal environment for me to train in.
