What stood out most to me were the people—kind, encouraging, and passionate faculty, alongside like-minded residents who value patient-centered care, lifelong learning, and a truly team-oriented environment. I also appreciate the program’s strong emphasis on education, mentorship, and continued growth. Immediately after my interview I found myself yearning to be a part of the team!
Beyond the MHMMC itself, Maine feels like the right place for my partner and I to build a life and put down roots long-term. - Personal quote (100 words or less)My dad always told me: "focus on one puck at a time. Learn from the ones that get by, but don’t dwell—reset, and be ready for the next." I carry that into medicine by staying present for each patient, learning from setbacks, and moving forward with focus and purpose.”

- Why Maine Medical Center?Across specialties, everyone only has tremendously good things to say about MMC and Maine in general. The radiology program has everything you want in a program - level 1 trauma, comprehensive stroke center, etc. - but is within a very convenient, livable, and fun city that is not bogged down with other big city concerns like excessive traffic or a work-aholic culture. Basically, MMC and Portland are a place I can thrive both professionally and personally.
