MaineHealth Maine Medical Center (MHMMC) participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and all PGY-1 residents in the institution are selected by this process. All applications will be handled according to the rules of the plan. Use the Electronic Residency Application Service to apply for the MMC General Psychiatry Residency Program. Applications will be accepted until November 1. Read the Policy and Procedures on Resident Recruitment and Selection and our FAQ to learn more.
The following items are required to complete the application for both the General and Rural Psychiatry Programs:
- Medical school transcript
- Personal statement
- Curriculum vitae
- USMLE or COMLEX scores
- Dean’s letter (MSPE)
- At least two letters of recommendation
