Health & Well-being Programs

There is no time more important than today to set a personal well-being goal. And, you will be more successful when your goal is combined with a plan for what you want to achieve. Try setting some small goals over the next month. Stay focused, create new habits and have fun! Need some help to get started? We are pleased to provide you with resources to help you succeed.  

Our free WOW health & well-being programs are available to MaineHealth employees. Some programs are also available to employee spouses/partners who are interested in receiving support and expert guidance for improving their health. Programs are offered at various times through the year.

Financial Well-being Programs

Most of us juggle daily financial priorities, the goal is not dropping the ball when so many things are competing for your money and time. Explore helpful tools, resources, tutorials and technology that can help you take control of your financial future.

Healthy Payback Reimbursement Program

MaineHealth wants to help you explore new and different ways to get excited about wellness, movement, to thrive, and to nourish outside the office or clinical setting. All MaineHealth care team members are eligible for the WOW Healthy Payback Reimbursement Program, which puts dollars back in your pocket for participating in health and wellness activities outside the walls of our clinical and office settings. Lark Healthy Lifestyle Program

Lark is a digital, self-paced program that will help you eat healthier, move more, sleep better, lose weight, stress less — and lower your risk for developing type 2 diabetes.  You will receive personalized support and guidance in several areas to help support you in making small changes that have a big impact. Living Well with Diabetes Program

The MaineHealth Living Well with Diabetes Self-Management Program can help you learn how to manage your type 2 diabetes. It is a free, evidence-based program developed by Stanford University and the Self-Management Resource Center. The program is offered online via Zoom in a small group setting. Classes meet once a week for six weeks, and each class is about two to two and a half hours.

Quit Tobacco 

Kicking the tobacco habit is the best thing you can do for your health. We know it is not easy, the free Quit for Live program provides you with the support you need to kick the habit and live tobacco-free. Get details.

Resources for Living, Employee Assistance Program

This program can help you juggle everyday needs and free you up to focus on what is most meaningful to you. This is a well-rounded comprehensive support program designed for every level of need, including work-life services, clinical therapy and support helping you and your family live happier, healthier lives. Stress Reduction and Management Programs

Like all parts of our physical health, our emotional and intellectual well-being also require regular check-ups. Balancing work demands and self-care has been challenging for many. Explore supportive tools and resources.

Talkspace Televideo and Chat Therapy 

Meet with a licensed professional counselor in-person, telephonically, via televideo or though chat counseling sessions. You can work with a counselor confidentially anytime and just about anywhere. You and your family members have access to 12 free, confidential counseling session per issue, per year, per family member. This program is free and available to all MaineHealth care team members and household family members, whether they participate in our health plan. Learn more.

Talkspace: Self-Guided

You have unlimited access to Talkspace: Self-Guided, a robust therapy support app. This platform provides unlimited access to clinically supported, effective therapeutic approaches to navigate change, refresh interpersonal skills and learn new strategies with the tools to build a healthy and fulfilling career.   • Stress Management and Resiliency Resources - Explore educational topics, relaxation practices, and additional resources that can help you to increase your ability to live life more in balance.
  • Stress Free Now - Cleveland Clinic's clinically proven, 6-week online course teaches you how to practice relaxation techniques and gives you real-life strategies for managing your body's reaction to stress. This program offers lifetime access and is eligible for Healthy Paybacks.
  • Resources for Living - Resources for Living is a 24/7 free and confidential resource program designed to provide support, information and referrals for issues like handling stress and overload, navigating the health care system, finding child care and so much more.
