MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's at Maine Medical Center Portland provides compassionate, family-centered care for children and their families. Located on the MaineHealth Portland Campus, our pediatric care unit contains 116 beds—including 31 Level III NICU Beds, 20 Level II continuing care nursery beds and 8 PICU beds—dedicated to the comfort and health of pediatric patients.
Our pediatric care teams are specially trained to provide comprehensive primary and specialty care services using state-of-the-art technology. Care team members are committed to including parents and family members in treatment planning and decision-making, ensuring children receive care that’s responsive to their unique needs.

The MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's at Maine Medical Center Portland Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a formal organization of current/former patients and family members who provide input to continuously improve patient and family care experiences. Council members collaborate with hospital leaders and care team members to champion patient safety and quality.
