Types of Gifts

Our new Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders, which serves individuals and their families through a continuum of care, opened in August. Through the unstinting efforts of volunteers, staff and community members, we successfully surpassed our fundraising goal of $7.35 million for this important project.

There are many ways to give to Maine Behavioral Healthcare - all gifts are important and appreciated. If you choose to make an unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund, please be assured that your gift will be put towards the area of greatest need at our outpatient locations and at Spring Harbor Hospital. Contributions will go to work immediately to support our patients and clients!

Patients whose lives were touched by our organization often ask how they can say thank you. Your graciousness is already more than enough but if you wish to give something more, a gift can be made in celebration of the care you received.

Maine Behavioral Healthcare organizes numerous events that need community support. If you own a business, there are opportunities for your company to sponsor portions of an event, while you increase publicity and gain exposure for your company.

Fundraising Events

There are other ways you can contribute to Maine Behavioral Healthcare besides cash gifts. In-kind donations are contributions of goods or services such as gifts for our patients and clients during the holidays or throughout the year, items for our silent auction, or prizes for our golf tournament.

Signs of Hope

On July 28, friends and colleagues gathered at Portland Country Club to celebrate Maine Behavioral Healthcare's annual Signs of Hope fundraiser. The event was a resounding success, raising nearly $90,000 in support of Maine Behavioral Healthcare's Zero Suicide Initiative.
