Physical therapy is movement and exercise-based treatment that addresses your specific health condition and helps you achieve your functional goals. Physical therapists have extensive knowledge of the body and are experts in movement analysis. Physical therapy can help you:

  • Manage your pain
  • Achieve better balance and reduce fear of falling
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Regain movement after surgery
  • Treat or avoid sport related injuries
  • Manage development disorders

Treatment starts with a one-on-one consultation with your physical therapist to assess your condition. The therapist will ask about your family and medical history. They will take you through range of motion and strength testing, and perform special testing based on your diagnosis and needs. Your physical therapist will then develop a personalized treatment plan based on your unique goals. You will see the same physical therapist each visit, and treatment times range anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on your specific needs.
