Free nutrition education and meals for MaineHealth primary care patients

Have you been diagnosed with a chronic health condition? Did you know that eating healthy foods can help you better manage your condition and improve your quality of life? The Franklin County Food is Medicine program is here to support you–completely free–for one year. This program offers:

• Free, healthy food: Access 10 free meals per week
• Hands-on cooking classes: Learn new skills, recipes and practice meal planning
• Community support: Connect with other community members like you
• Helpful resources: Get tools and guidance to better manage your condition

Who can join?

This program is open to MaineHealth primary care patients who:

• Are 18 or older
• Live in Greater Franklin County
• Have a chronic condition (like type 2 diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol or high blood pressure)
• Have limited access to healthy, affordable food
