MaineHealth Maine Medical Center (MHMMC) Portland Department of Nursing is committed to the provision of education for health care professionals throughout and beyond the State of Maine.
The MHMMC Center for Clinical & Professional Development (CCPD) promotes best practices, quality patient care and outcomes, professional advancement and career mobility for nurses and their interprofessional partners. The CCPD offers services that support students, nurses and other members of the health care team in meeting the complex demands of today’s health care environment.
Excellence in interprofessional continuing education and collaborative practice
As a Provider of Continuing Nursing Education accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the CCPD partnered with the MHMMC Departments of Medical Education and Pharmacy in 2020 and applied for joint accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the ANCC.
MHMMC Portland received designation as a Joint Accredited Provider of Interprofessional Continuing Education through 2027.
