LincolnHealth offers computed tomography (CT scans), ultrasonography and general diagnostic exams at its campuses in Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor, as well as digital mammography and bone density scans at the Miles campus in Damariscotta. Because excellent care is more than the latest technology, our trained, compassionate staff will work with your primary care provider to tailor a plan of care to your individual needs and make sure you understand all your options.

Digital Mammography

The LincolnHealth Miles campus performs over 3000 mammograms a year using state of the art Digital Mammography equipment. Their dedicated team of Technologists range from 6 to 35 years of experience in mammography. On site interpretations are done by our Board-Certified Radiologist who has over 19 years of experience reading complex Mammography exams. 
Miles Campus also offers support services as part of the Breast Care Program. We help to answer questions and guide patients who have abnormal mammograms through the maze of medical testing and treatments sometimes needed. We provide support to patients having breast surgery by delivering hand-crafted bags with comfort pillows and information concerning support services. We are the personal touch that helps make patients want to return each year for their imaging needs.

Bone Density Scans

Osteoporosis and low bone mass affect an estimated 44 million Americans. Women are four times more likely to develop osteoporosis than men. 
A bone density scan can help you understand whether you are at risk of potentially crippling fractures and whether you could benefit from available treatment options. For your convenience, bone density scans can often be scheduled in conjunction with your mammogram.
