Goals
- Improve Knowledge and Clinical Competence
Equip healthcare providers with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills to support breastfeeding initiation, continuation, and problem-solving. This includes understanding lactation physiology, counseling techniques, and management of common breastfeeding challenges. - Promote Consistent, Supportive Messaging Across Healthcare Settings
Ensure that clinicians across various disciplines provide unified, non-conflicting breastfeeding guidance to patients, reinforcing public health recommendations. - Increase Breastfeeding Rates and Reduce Disparities
Support public health goals by helping clinicians effectively promote breastfeeding as the norm, particularly among populations with historically lower breastfeeding rates, thereby improving maternal and infant health outcomes statewide.
