Community Health and Wellness
Waldo County General Hospital Community Health & Wellness is dedicated to informing and empowering our colleagues, community members and area businesses to improve their health and wellness by providing health information, education and resources. We offer health education classes, screenings, events and outreach programs to help you stay well, learn about your health and manage your health conditions.
Waldo County General Hospital and MaineHealth have a long-standing commitment to the health and well-being of our community and the people we serve. In keeping with that mission, MaineHealth offers a wide range of community programs and services free of charge. Each year the Community Benefit Report is published to share compelling stories about the people and families whose lives are touched by the MaineHealth community, and the dedicated staff who provide that care.
In support of the MaineHealth vision of “working together so our communities are the healthiest in America,” Waldo County General Hospital has released the 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment. The report on the health of Waldo County residents identifies key health challenges and shares a vision for promoting wellness and improving care.
The 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment has:- Data on the health status of Waldo County
- Three-year action plan by Waldo County General Hospital for making improvements
- The report is available to all local organizations and community members to help coordinate community health improvement and address needs
If you have questions about the report, or about getting involved with activities, please email CHNA@mainehealth.org. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
