2021 Tree of Life Campaign

SMHC Tree of Life Campaign

Another year has passed and COVID-19 has brought many challenges to the Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) care team and community. Our annual Tree of Life event is an opportunity to remember those who have left us and to honor those still with us, while raising funds to benefit the most urgent needs of SMHC emergency departments (EDs).
Funds raised from the Tree of Life campaign will help provide our Biddeford and Sanford EDs with life-saving equipment so they can continue to deliver high-quality emergency care services to people who rely on us in their moment of need. By making a gift to support the Tree of Life, you pay tribute to those you cherish, while helping to save someone’s life.
This year we are bringing the Tree of Life event to our diverse community by holding an interfaith, multi-observance event on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 5 pm in Mechanics Park in Biddeford.

Shelly Snow, Director of Spiritual Care at SMHC will lead this special event which will feature lighting rituals and a reading of the names of loved ones honored with your donations. Donations will be accepted before, during and after the event date and will be published on social media after the holidays.
