Annual Campaign

Annual campaign donors at every giving level are critical to Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital. Donations to this year's annual fund will help ensure that our excellent care team members have up-to-date and efficient workspaces and equipment and everyone who receives care in or visits our hospitals enjoys welcoming interiors and outdoor landscapes.

Some recent initiatives supported by our annual donors include:

How will my gift be recognized?

All gifts, regardless of the amount, help us with our mission to make our communities the healthiest in America. Every donor receives a written acknowledgment from the philanthropy department and every donor’s name is included in the annual report, unless anonymity is requested. We love to learn more about why our donors choose to support us, so we may also reach out via email or phone to tell you how much we appreciate you.

Help us advance health care excellence across the Midcoast region!

It's easy to give to the annual campaign with our secure, online form.

Help create the Healing Garden at Waldo County General Hospital and revitalize the Courtyard Gardens at Pen Bay Medical Center!

In 2023 we will focus on upgrading outdoor spaces that enhance the patient, visitor and care team member experience. The healing power of nature is well documented. What we see every day impacts how we feel. With patient privacy and healing in mind, we will be creating or revitalizing outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy. The work will begin in the spring of 2024.

At PBMC the interior courtyards will be revitalized so they can be enjoyed by patients, visitors and care team members. This project will transform these highly visible gardens which can be viewed from many departments, including the SCU patient rooms, the hallway to day surgery and the lab waiting room.

At WCGH a healing garden will be created for patients, visitors and care team members. The garden will provide a peaceful vista for patients receiving infusion and chemotherapy treatments in the oncology department, as well as many other departments, while also providing privacy.

Our goal is to double participation over our last employee drive.

Team members who contribute through Giving Together make things happen!
