The Sunshine Award recognizes and celebrates the special skills and compassionate care provided by our nursing support staff. These colleagues are an integral part of the nursing care team and we are proud to recognize them. The Sunshine Award recipient is a role model who demonstrates patient advocacy, leadership, teamwork and makes a difference in the life of a patient and/or family member(s).
Who can nominate?
ANYONE – patients, families, visitors, volunteers and Pen Bay Medical Center colleagues may nominate a deserving nursing support staff member. Please complete this form and return it to any PBMC staff member or to the address listed in this brochure.
Nominations will be reviewed each month and one recipient will be selected. Each Sunshine honoree will be recognized at a public ceremony on his/her unit and will receive: a certificate, Sunshine Award and celebration cake to share with staff.
