MaineHealth is committed to helping you access care in a way that fits your budget.

You can sign up for payment plans that last 12 months or less directly in your MaineHealth MyChart account. 

And through our partner PayZen, qualifying patients can access long-term, interest-free, monthly payment plans that are over 12 months long. 

With PayZen, you can:

  • Manage your plan completely online
  • Access longer terms

Frequently asked questions

PayZen is a third-party service that specializes in patient financing and billing. They can offer you dedicated help with setting up and managing a long-term payment plan. PayZen uses smart tools to tailor payment options based on what’s manageable for you. This helps MaineHealth focus on care, while PayZen helps you navigate your payment options.  

Long-term plans (13+ months) will go through PayZen. Plans are limited to balances of $25,000 or less and the maximum length of a plan is five years, or 60 months. If your balance is over $25,000, you’ll need to apply for financial assistance through MaineHealth.

PayZen offers repayment options based on your account balance, your payment history and other financial data.

While you are setting up a payment plan with PayZen, you may receive a text message from 207-613-2123 and/or an email message from support@payzen.com. When you receive this information:

  1. Click the link
  2. Verify your identity (by email or phone)
  3. Enter the verification code you received by email or text message
  4. Enter your payment details
