MaineHealth offers interest-free, monthly payment plans to qualifying patients who are unable to pay their full balance. To learn more:

  • Phone: Call 866-804-2499 (toll-free) Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm

Improvements to your payment plan experience

For payment plans over 13 months long:

MaineHealth is committed to helping you access care in a way that fits your budget. Our partnership with PayZen is designed to enhance your payment plan experience. With PayZen, you can:

  • Enjoy 0% interest and no fees
  • Manage your plan completely online
  • Access longer terms

If you are currently on a payment plan over 13 months, we will send you a letter and emails about how to transfer your plan. In May or June, you will receive a text message from 207-613-2123 and/or an email message from support@payzen.com letting you know it’s time to update your plan. Please follow the instructions to ensure there is no interruption to your payment plan.

When you receive a text message from 207-613-2123 and/or an email message from support@payzen.com:

  1. Click the link
  2. Verify your identity (by email or phone)
  3. Enter the verification code you receive by email or text message
  4. Enter your payment details
  5. Your payment plan transition to PayZen will be complete

NOTE: If you do not update your payment plan to PayZen, your MaineHealth payment plan will expire and the balance will be due in full in 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

MaineHealth has partnered with PayZen, a payment plan servicing company, to continue offering flexible, interest-free payment plans with zero fees. 

When you receive a message from PayZen:

  • Click the link
  • Verify your identity
  • Enter your payment details. 

After you finish these steps, your transition from a MaineHealth payment plan to a PayZen payment plan will be complete.

If you do not update your payment plan to PayZen, your MaineHealth payment plan will expire, and the balance will be due in full in 30 days.
