Physicians Join Maine Medical Partners

Jeffrey Howard, MD, PhD, has joined Maine Medical Partners – Urology in South Portland. Dr. Howard is originally from the Washington, D.C. area. He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he completed an M.D./Ph.D. dual degree, graduating with High Honors and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed residency training at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He has published numerous articles on kidney, prostate, bladder, and testicular cancer. He has an interest in these cancers and in surgical quality/process improvement.

Elizabeth Linnell, MD, has joined Maine Medical Partners – Women’s Health. She will be practicing at Maine Medical Partners Women's Health Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology in Portland and at Maine Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Linnell practiced as an attending physician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center - Women’s Health Associates in Lewiston, Maine. In addition, she has been a clinical instructor at the Tufts University School of Medicine for over ten years. Dr. Linnell completed her medical training at Albany Medical College where she graduated cum laude, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maine Medical Center in 2008.

Meredith Baker, MD, has joined Maine Medical Partners – Pediatric Surgery. Previously, Dr. Baker was a clinical fellow in pediatric surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Baker completed her medical training at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. Her clinical interests are minimally invasive surgery, pediatric surgery, thoracic and neonatal surgery.
