The first student cohort in the Memorial Hospital/White Mountains Community College Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program has officially completed their nine months of coursework. Each week since last September they spent two days on-site and two days in the classroom at WMCC, with a fifth day allotted for studying. After final exams and board exams, these eight students will continue their work at Memorial.
Tuition and fees for the program are funded by proceeds from Memorial’s golf tournament, plus grants from Citizens Bank.
Memorial President Art Mathisen came to the last class to thank the students for their participation and to welcome them as new Medical Assistants.
