- Why Maine Medical Center?I first heard about Maine Medical Center as I was just starting my fourth year of medical school. A few mentors of mine had either rotated through or had done residency at MMC and had nothing but good things to say. Even thought my interview process was done virtually, I knew immediately that the anesthesiology program had something special. Beyond the academics and clinical practice of anesthesia, everyone I met was very engaging and I felt both the attendings and residents were very happy here. And I can’t forget to mention Maine’s beautiful geography and outdoor access.
