MaineHealth offers clinical rotations for advanced practice provider (APP) students enrolled in accredited nurse practitioner (NP) and physician associate (PA) programs. We provide high-quality student learning experiences for nurses pursuing advancement in their careers.
APP student clinical rotation application instructions:
- Complete and submit the APP Student Application Form at least three months in advance of your preferred rotation start date.
- If you have more than one request, please submit a form for each.
- Please note that request submission does not guarantee placement.
- If you have already secured a MaineHealth rotation/preceptor, please complete this form to notify us and to initiate the MaineHealth clearance process.
Upon acceptance, we will work with you, your school and your preceptor to complete the MaineHealth clinical clearance and onboarding process, including:
- Academic Affiliation Agreement / Contract with School
- Student Clearance Paperwork (immunization verification, confidentiality agreement, background check)
- Orientation & Hospital Training
- EMR Access & Training
- Hospital ID Badge
