MaineHealth offers clinical rotations for advanced practice provider (APP) students enrolled in accredited nurse practitioner (NP) certified nurse midwife (CNM), certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and physician associate (PA) programs.
Clinical rotation requests
Please note: MaineHealth is not currently accepting new clinical rotation applications. We appreciate your interest and will update this page when our application process begins again.
Already have a confirmed preceptor?
If you have independently arranged a clinical rotation with a MaineHealth preceptor, please contact the APP Education Office at appeducation@mainehealth.org and include the following information in your email:
Subject Line: Confirmed APP Clinical Placement
Required information:
- Preceptor name and email address
- Preceptor practice location
- Rotation start and end dates
- Whether you are a current MaineHealth employee
Please copy your preceptor on the email.
After we receive your email, the APP Education Office will reply with instructions for enrollment through Clinical Nexus, the platform we use to manage all MaineHealth APP clinical rotations.
Important timing requirement
To ensure adequate processing time, your email must be received at least 30 days before the start date of your rotation.
