Early inpatient interventions

Early intervention is essential to achieving the best possible results for neurology patients. Research has shown that long-term outcomes improve when neuro-rehabilitation therapy begins as soon as possible. That’s why we are home to the largest team of inpatient physical, occupational and speech therapists in the state - including certified stroke and brain injury specialists.

Consultation and treatment begins within 24 hours of hospital admission - even if you are still sedated in our intensive care unit - to prevent contractures and to optimize joint and muscle functions. When you are ready to leave the hospital, you will be in the best possible position to begin the next step in your recovery. Your rehab care team will develop a personalized treatment plan for your ongoing neuro-rehabilitation. Depending on your condition, you may be referred on to a:

  • Acute inpatient rehabilitation center
  • Skilled nursing facility
  • Home health agency
  • Outpatient rehabilitation clinic

Our physicians are board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. We deliver exceptional care based on the latest clinical guidelines and medical technology - working closely with your primary care physician, therapists and other specialty physicians. The goal is to help you recover as soon as possible, with the best possible health outcomes.
