The Center for Excellence is home to our education department, nursing administration team and the western Maine Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The Center for Excellence team provides many services for our physicians and other health care professionals to ensure hands on practice application for CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP and other continuing educational and training programs.
The Center for Excellence Team offers computer-based learning within a variety of health care topics to remain compliant with State of Maine, OSHA, Rural Health Certification and Joint Commission regulatory requirements while maintaining professional transcripts of all employee programs.
The education department, in collaboration with western Maine AHEC, supports care team and community members through health classes and conferences at the Ben Franklin Conference Center - inviting specialists in their fields to share their expertise. In addition, the western Maine AHEC collaborates with colleges and other partners to offer on-site clinical experiences and courses for health care professionals.
Our goal is to provide an environment for learning and collaboration through a combination of onsite meetings and distance education. Services provided by our highly-qualified and experienced team include:

- Nursing administration
- Grants and student placement coordination
