The DAISY Award
The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses is a national recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide for patients and families every day. Western Maine Health awards this special recognition to nurses who show dedication, serve as a role model, show extraordinary consideration and skill, and generate enthusiasm and energy toward meeting the challenges of nursing. The PETAL Award
In addition to honoring our exceptional nurses, we also have a monthly PETAL Award to recognize other members of the patient care team who demonstrate patient advocacy, leadership, teamwork, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
The special skills and compassionate care provided by our patient care support staff are an important part of our mission as a health care organization. Patients, families, visitors, volunteers and Stephens Memorial Hospital team members may all nominate a deserving team member by completing this form. Each PETAL honoree will be recognized with a banner and ceremony at their unit/department. They will receive an award certificate, the PETAL award, and treats to share with their team.
