Leah B Mallory, MD

As a pediatric hospitalist, I enjoy caring for children of all ages- newborn through the late teen years.  On our service, we teach medical students and resident physicians to provide family-centered care to children with a wide variety of diagnoses. I feel fortunate that my practice entails a range of patients, including otherwise healthy children with common pediatric illnesses to children with complex chronic medical conditions.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, my academic interests include simulation-based assessment and quality improvement issues in pediatric hospitalist medicine, specifically hospital-to-home transitions. Outside the hospital, I enjoy triathlon training, surfing and ocean kayaking and my busy family life with my husband, three school-aged children, and a menagerie of pets.
