About NorDx

NorDx is a not-for-profit clinical laboratory based in Scarborough, Maine. Established in 1976 as the first licensed independent laboratory in Maine, NorDx has grown to provide comprehensive, dependable, quality laboratory services to hospitals, physicians, long-term care providers, other laboratories and health care organizations throughout Northern New England.

NorDx is a member of MaineHealth, a recognized healthcare leader in New England and Maine's largest integrated healthcare system.

Superior quality, efficient service

We are committed to supporting our partners in healthcare by providing superior quality and cost-effective laboratory services which emphasize customer satisfaction, value, innovation, technology, and exceptional service. We manage and execute all aspects of diagnostic analyses thoroughly, accurately, and efficiently. Laboratory results are used in approximately 70% of decisions involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and the prognosis of any given illness.

As a not-for-profit regional laboratory, NorDx does not focus on the needs of shareholder equity. Rather, we are an integral part of the local healthcare community and remain committed to maximizing integration and comparability of laboratory data.

U.S. News & World Report Names MMC ‘Best Regional Hospital’ for Ninth Straight Year
U.S. News & World Report has named Maine Medical Center (MMC) as the best hospital in Maine for 2021-2022. It is the ninth consecutive year that the hospital has been named as a “Best Regional Hospital.” MMC also was recognized as “high performing” in 13 common procedures and conditions included in the annual survey of U.S. hospitals.
