MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) announced today it has selected Dr. Melissa Bowker-Kinley for the role of Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA), Child and Adolescent Services. In this role, Dr. Bowker-Kinley will assist in developing and coordinating the behavioral healthcare of children and adolescents across MaineHealth in all levels of care.

The grant will allow the Maine Rural Graduate Medical Education Collaborative to help address the gap in obstetrical care in rural communities.

MaineHealth Memorial Hospital is delighted to announce the arrival of its first baby of the year, born to Susy and Shawn Wilmot of Madison. The couple welcomed their son, Leland Wilmot, at 6:59 a.m. on January 2, 2025.

MaineHealth welcomed its first baby of the new year at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland! Michael Nathan Maiato was born at 2:55 a.m. to Paige and Joe Maiato of Kennebunk. Michael weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 20.4 inches long.

MaineHealth has chosen a practicing primary care physician with a history of leadership in quality and safety as its next Chief Medical Officer for the health system’s Southern Region, which includes MaineHealth Maine Medical Center’s Portland, Biddeford and Sanford campuses.
